We’re seeking a skilled and empathetic photographer to document the intimate, powerful moments of birth, postpartum, and early newborn life. This role is ideal for someone with both technical photography expertise and the emotional sensitivity to work in high-stakes, tender environments.

Job Title: Birth & Beyond Photographer  
Location: On-call, local births, and in-home sessions  

Employment Type: Part-Time / Contract  

Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call photography coverage for births (home, birth center, or hospital)  
- Conduct newborn and postpartum sessions in clients’ homes  
- Maintain a calming and respectful presence in emotionally intense situations  
- Edit and deliver high-quality photo galleries in a timely manner  
- Respect client privacy, boundaries, and preferences at all times  
- Collaborate with doulas, midwives, and parents to ensure a seamless experience  
- Uphold standards of inclusivity and cultural sensitivity  

Qualifications:  
- Demonstrated experience with lifestyle, portrait, or birth photography  
- Strong portfolio with low-light and candid work preferred  
- Own professional camera equipment and editing software  
- Ability to be on-call for births (flexible and responsive availability)  
- Comfortable working in intimate, emotionally charged environments  
- Trauma-informed, respectful of client autonomy and confidentiality   
- Background in birth work, doula care, or newborn care is a plus
